Goodrich is a small city in Polk County, Texas, on U.S. Highway 59 about ten miles south of Livingston and roughly sixty miles north of Houston. The town was founded in the 1870s with the arrival of the Houston, East and West Texas Railway and named for William M. Goodrich, an early land speculator.
